A Smart Bathroom Cleaning Routine

Check out these four decorating tips for your small apartment bathroom.

Make bathroom cleaning swift and simple with this guide!

Cleaning the bathroom is not something everyone has done their whole life, unless they have been given it as a chore growing up or have lived on their own for quite some time. Even so, it is helpful to keep some pointers in mind to make the process much quicker and smarter so you can move on with your day and enjoy your bathroom more. Read on to improve your smart bathroom cleaning routine!

Tip: Pick Your Schedule

When are you most available to clean the bathroom? Is it at night when everyone has gone to sleep? Is it right after work when you get home or want to decompress? Is it completely on the spur of the moment? Find what works for you! Just remember, it will be worth the time and energy.

To-Do List for a Smart Bathroom Cleaning Routine

It can help to keep a set to-do list in mind so that you don’t end up spending too much or too little time on your everyday bathroom cleaning.

Sweep the Floor

If you chronically have hairs on the bathroom floor, you can quickly sweep or Swiffer them away. No more hairs stuck to the bottom of your feet or on your bathroom floor mats! For the smallest bathrooms, this step only takes a second.

Clear, Wipe, and Reorganize the Counter

The best way to clean a surface is to remove everything that is on it first. Spray down the clear countertop and take the opportunity to tidy it up as you put items back. An organized countertop can make you feel much better!

Sanitize the Faucet, Sink, and Mirror

Don’t forget the faucet and sink! As you wipe down the countertop, you can also wipe down the bathroom sink and faucet. Since you are already there, now’s a great time to clean the mirror, too.

Sanitize the Toilet

While you can keep toilet cleaning to once a week rather than daily, it doesn’t hurt to spray down and wipe the toilet seat, rim, and outer bowl while you are tackling your smart bathroom cleaning routine.

Add a Candle

To get rid of bad odors, add a candle in the bathroom if one isn’t there already. Keep matches or an electric candle lighter in a safe, dry spot in the bathroom.

Tip: Keep All Bathroom Cleaning Supplies Hidden and Handy

Your job will be much easier if all of your bathroom cleaning supplies are in one place in the bathroom. You can keep them in a separate bathroom storage unit or in the cabinet under the sink. Hanging cleaning bottles and other supplies on the inside of the cabinet doors makes accessing them even easier.

Leave More In-Depth Work for Monthly Cleanings

Give yourself more time to take care of deep cleaning tasks like drain cleaning, toilet cleaning, and shower and bathtub cleaning. After all, those tasks are not ones you have to do every day.
